I want to be baptized because I want to declare it to everyone that I give my whole life to Christ. I’ve suffered from a bit of mental illness for some time, however when I gave birth to my last baby my thoughts escalated to intrusive thoughts then became darker suicidal thoughts. I was empty. On November 2023 I was invited to The Cause church by my father in law. Then 3 months after that I finally decided to actually read my Bible. I wish I could remember what I read but I do remember instantly crying as if God was speaking to me. The Bible became alive and His word saved my life. I went into my room and prayed to Jesus to heal my thoughts, to help me. With an open heart I gave my life to him in that moment, and I received the Holy Spirit. I no longer have suicidal thoughts. Everyday I have to distrust my own thoughts and I have to trust in the word of God. In scripture, 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to take captive every thought. Every single day I want to be submerged in Christ because he saved me and I never want to go back. I wanted to take my own life , but instead gave it to Jesus. Thank you Jesus! - Lilly

Our first ever CAUSE CAMPOUT was absolutely all time! And what a way to end a great week - with worship, a powerful message, and baptisms!

Gary and I didn’t grow up in the church. Once, as a kid I asked my dad to take me to church. I didn’t like it, and I never wanted to go back. Gary’s upbringing instilled in him the belief that church was for the weak. This mindset carried on well into September of 2021. Gary and I didn’t understand why people would “waste” their Sunday mornings going to church. Whenever we would pass a church we would mock them all. Embarrassingly enough, we even mocked The Cause. In the fall of 2021, Gary found himself on a path going in a negative direction. He felt an urge to ask God for help for the first time. Long before we even recognized His presence, God was silently weaving His love into our lives, working in ways we couldn’t comprehend until later. Gary reached out to the one person he knew who attended church, asking if he could join them. The following week, he found himself at The Cause. Gary tried to convince me to go to the church, but I resisted. He said that the music was good and that the pastor kind of sounded like Justin Beiber when he sang. He would tell me that he felt like the pastor’s sermon was directly for him. I finally attended church with Gary, and I was really nervous. Usually, interacting with others made me anxious. Despite that, when I walked into the church I felt warmth and friendliness from everyone and it made a significant impact on me. Sitting through service, I was not expecting anything. I was just there because my husband asked me to be. As Pastor Aaron began preaching, I may not have understood all the ‘Christianese’ terminology at the time, but I could unmistakably feel the anointing behind his words. We both got baptized just a couple of months later, and immersed ourselves in everything that The Cause had to offer. Through our shared faith, we embarked on a journey of rediscovery, redefining the essence of marriage with each passing day. I am grateful that my children are growing up in an environment where they will come to understand the depth of God’s love and His incredible nature. Every day, I offer thanks to God for guiding us to The Cause. This church has truly been a blessing to our family. Kim

I grew up in the church. It was an Assembly of God church, it was quite lively and somewhat emotional. I witnessed the congregation using their spiritual language . I just assumed it was not for me. Throughout my experience in the church, I prayed often that I would be baptized in the Holy Spirit and receive the spiritual language. I am quite reserved and shy. I don’t really like attention and I worry about what someone else would think of me. I believe I had to release my fears and pride. When I attended the Freedom classes I decided to do the work because I really wanted to experience freedom. Freedom from fear, pride, shame and what other people think of me. On the last conference day I opened up, was honest, confessed and did much crying. When the conference was drawing to a close, I felt something different inside, a warm stirring. I could just tell something different was happening. Standing up front, I was baptized in the Spirit and received my spiritual Language. It was a life changing experience. I could not stop sharing and smiling. God is so good 😊

“This last October I was in a rough season in my marriage which turned into finding myself in a season of deep depression and anxiety. I wasn’t able to do my normal day to day activities, I could barely function. I’d do what I needed throughout the day to take care of my kids, but despising it and their needs. I was constantly disassociating. My husband would come home from work and have to pick up the pieces and take care of everything/everyone while I just sat in a ball, numb on the couch or floor. We’d still go to church, and I’d have panic attacks getting ready and driving to church. Many times I would circle around the block just until I could breathe enough to get inside the door. I remember believing everything Pastor Aaron was preaching in the Healer series to be true, and believed it for others, but it felt like I was so far away from ever being able to experience it. The last day of the series there was an altar call, and I didn’t go up for prayer for myself; I went to pray for others. I stayed for the next service to be available to pray again. Then the altar call came again. The nauseous feeling in my stomach told me I needed to go for me, so I did. The presence of God met me there. His love and peace was so tangible, it was as if I were face to face with Him. Pastor Aaron spoke a word over me about God being the lifter of my head. & since that moment I have not experienced that same depression and anxiety. The fog lifted and I was able to get the help I needed. My marriage is completely changing, I delight in my children, and my joy has been restored! I have a renewed passion to see others experience Jesus just like I did that day! His presence and His healing isn’t dead or for others; it’s here and now, for you and for me!” @__tori.williams

WHAT. A. SUNDAY! Thank you Jesus!

We had been regularly attending the same church for decades, but our walk with God had started to feel routine. We began feeling that He was calling us to move from our comfort zone and head in a new direction, to discover His purpose for our lives. We weren’t sure what that meant for us or even where to begin, we started praying for God to show us where He wanted us to go. And that is when a friend mentioned that they loved The Cause Church, so we started there. We didn’t know what to expect and were nervous upon entering the building, but the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. So many people introduced themselves and welcomed us in, so we found some seats near the back and settled in. When worship began it was incredible, it felt as if Heaven itself was opening up in the room. We could FEEL the Holy Spirit around us, as hands were lifted high in worship and lifting praise to God. This was so new to us and soon we found that our hands were lifted in praise as well. And it continued when Pastor Aaron began to preach, the message we heard was inspiring and spoken with such passion. We both agreed something was different here, but in the most amazing way. We decided we had to come back the following Sunday and that was when we realized we had found something truly special. We knew that The Cause Church was where God was leading us and we haven’t looked back since. We’ve only been attending for a few months, but we have made so many meaningful connections in that short amount of time. In addition to amazing Sundays of Worship and the Word, we are part of several Connect small groups and we cannot wait for Wednesday Presence nights for even more Worship and prayer. Our “fire for God” has been reignited, The Cause Church is an awesome place and the presence of the Lord is truly present there. Pastor Aaron & Pastor Rachelle are inspiring and involved with the congregation in such a significant and beautiful way. They truly live the mission, their love for God is front and center in everything they do and we are blessed to have found them and to be led by them. We are excited for what God has in store for us, The Cause and our community!
